Biodegradable Golf Tee

On Sunday morning I joined my father and two of his buddies for a round of 18 holes out at Seminole Golf Course.  We were on the first tee box and I couldn't find a single tee in my bag and I started to freak, so Mr. Walberg says "try one of these corn tees" and tosses one into my hand.  A "corn tee", which is the slang name given by Mr. Walberg, is actually a biodegradable golf tee made by a green company called Eco Golf.  Made from corn, the tees biodegrade in about a year in an active, organic environment; this is about three times faster than the traditional wooden tee.  They also last an average of 9.65 drives per tee which is twice as more than a traditional wooden tee.  Eco Golf claims to be saving over 100,000 trees a year with their corn-based tees.  I think these "corn tees" are the coolest, and I already purchased a pack of 1,000 on the internet.  Talk about a practical and creative way to help save the planet.

p.s.  The Bud Light "Cheese and Wine Party" advertisement during the Super Bowl was classic.
