So after spending Spring semester, the entire summer, and what will soon be the entire fall semester blogging, I'm beginning to consider myself somewhat of an expert. I don't really know if that's true or not, but I've done it so much and no one's really told me I suck at it-so I must be at least going in a good direction. I spent a decent amount of my time at my internship this summer maintaining the Myspace page for the Tobacco Free Florida campaign (i.e. blogging)....you can see it at myspace.com/tobaccofreeflorida. When I went to turn in my huge portfolio of what I learned this summer to my advisor-he was, for reasons probably unknown to me, interested in this blog. He proceeded to tell me that a former student of his is a blogger for an agency and makes some absurd amount of money. I never really thought of being blogger as a profession that someone could actually make a living off of-aside from Perez Hilton of course. So after talking to my advisor about how the skills we gain from doing this week after week may actually contribute to some success in my future, I suppose I should apologize to our teachers for telling them how much I hate blogging. Hopefully my future will benefit from me tediously composing these each week :)
