I've just come in from waiting outside my apartment for 45 minutes...all because my key did not work. I have an electronic key (kind of like a hotel one, to give you a better idea), and every once in a while they won't work and you have to get them reprogrammed at the front office. And when I say every once in a while, I mean only when you're by yourself ( late at night, when the office is closed), and/or when none of you're other roommates are home to let you in.
Yet, while the most recent incident happened today, around 6 pm, it just so happens to be Labor day-so, OF COURSE, the office is closed, without a security guard on duty. Where is the sense in this?! I guess it's just safe to assume I'm just out of luck?
After calling the emergency line, I am informed that if the office is closed and there isn't a security guard on duty, there is a $35 fine to anyone who is locked out. Obviously, this only makes perfect sense. Because after all, it is my fault that my key didn't work, and that the office is closed and that there's not a guard on duty.
If only they had left a number for who you're supposed to call when it comes down to that.

Is it just me... or is this completely ridiculous?
