So I just wasted almost two hours of my life on a semi-time share pitch. I knew when I got the letter it was a scam, because I've been around these time share sharks my whole life. My dad currently sells time shares for Ron Jon's, and I even now work for a travel agency which targets students. I'm not a timeshare, lets clear that up its just cheap travel but we don't have cute little gimmicks where you get a free TV for listening to me talk about it. and I won't ramble at you with a powerpoint for two hours, but if anyone reading this is looking to travel somewhere (preferably internationally) I'll tell u about it. My dad's timeshare is a gimmick...it's Ron Jons...Its a tourist trap. This was the same basic thing, but it was actually kinda funny. During the presentation I was noticing the different communication styles she was presenting too. She kept saying how fast she would be (lies), and how everything would get right to the point. She had statistics and numbers. She offered water at the beginning, was very sociable and often mentioned how many people you could take with you on your trips. And she had lots of flashy pictures and extreme situations about how cool you will be if you travel with them. She however had TERRIBLE speaking skills. She tried to make awkward jokes which made no one laugh. There was another girl there who called the lady out on her lies in mid-presentation and instead of answering them she dismissed them, shushed the girl, or just said she did not know. The girl left abotu half way through and she proceeded to make fun of her. SHE MADE FUN OF A POTENTIAL CUSTOMER, IN FRONT OF OTHER POTENTIAL CUSTOMERS!!! I've only been selling things like this a short time but I still know you should NEVER talk ill of someone, other than maybe competitors, in front of a customer. She often jumped around and got ahead of herself and kept referring to something she never described. The best part, a trick all scams use, is they tell you that you HAVE to sign up on the spot and if you come back the next day the price sky rockets. Generally, this is because if you go home and look it up online or ask around, you won't want to buy it anymore. If it was as good as they say it is, everyone would already have it. Infomercials are the same way. The best way to earn someones trust is put them in a low pressure situation and let them decide on their own. Stupid salespeople.
