As you all probably know by now Lil Wayne was sentenced to prison after pleading guilty to an incident that happened at a night club in New York. Yes! I know, ,we should all have a moment of silence........... Okay.
Lil Wayne for the past 2- 3 years he has dominated not only the hip hop industry, but also the music industry. Appearing on over fifty different artist albums in just one year Lil Wayne has made his mark in hip hop world. When his album album, The Carter III dropped everyone anticipated sells however, he was able to sell one million records in one week. These numbers are unheard this day in age with, illegal downloading taking over. But, with the pure talent of being able to entertain Lil Wayne deserves every award he gets.
Last summer I went to his concert in Miami, and I was speechless. Performing all of his songs on his latest album and just some from his other mix tapes the concert was hot.
What does Lil Wayne going to jail mean for the rest of the world? It means that a different hip hop artist can take a stab at the industry and they don't even have to be that good. Whenever perfection leaves, that allows the below average to take the spot. Until Lil Wayne gets out, my ears will be deaf to the other artists who try to be all right.
Here is one of my favorite songs!
