Facebook...Mobbook?
While browsing USA Today, I came across this article about a mobster being caught by authorities in Italy, with the use of Facebook. Yes, you've read correctly...facebook. Pasquale Manfredi was caught after being tracked through the social networking cite Facebook. Authorities monitored the 33-year-old's contacts and messages, of which were used to communicate mafia 'runs'. "The Sun reports that authorities believe that Manfredi, who would log on under the Facebook name Georgie, received coded orders via the site and also kept in touch with mobsters." The suspect called himself Scarface, and was captured in Calabria. The charges against the mafia member, among being in the top 100 most wanted, included charges of murder, and drug trafficking.
