Harry Potter's world is gong to become a reality in the next few short months. Starting May 28, 2010, visitors of Universal Orlando will be able to embark on a once in a lifetime trip to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Because I am about the biggest Harry Potter fan at Florida State University, I have been following the leaked rumors that have been swarming the internet. Visitors will actually get to see the “muggle free” Hogwarts Castle on a state of the art ride. The ride called Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey will showcase Dumbledore’s office, Gryfinndor common room, and the train station that transports wizards to Hogwarts. Additionally, there will be two huge roller coasters, Flight of the Hippogriff and Dragon Challenge. I could only assume from reading the book, that these both will be amazing rides that will showcase Harry’s experience. Lastly there will be plenty of shopping, restaurants, and gift stores that you can buy things that only appear in the Harry Potter books like Three Broomsticks, Filches Emporium of Confiscated Goods, and Ollivander’s wand shop. With this much excitement, I wish that the Harry Potter Wizarding World at Universal Studios were opening over spring break, so I could be one of the first to go!
