So today is the first official day of break, and I am spending it with one of the greatest women I know, my grandmother. She wore her hearing aids for the first time today and she's been so self-conscious about them! Normally she goes to the park at least once a day; it's already 6 and she hasn't left yet. She also styled her hair to try and cover them. We're all trying to convince her that they're unnoticeable (we're not lying either, you won't see them unless you're looking for them). I am sharing this because I find it remarkable that a woman her age still gets self-conscious. I guess that's something you don't grow out of, you just learn to deal with it.
