Twilight

I know. I know....Most people think Twilight is lame and is a stupid book, but I am in love with the series! Seriously, I NEVER read books, especially long books, but Twilight has caught my attention. The love story between Bella and Edward would capture any girls attention....unless you're emotionless and are against love. Anyways, it is such an easy read and is hard to put down.

A little while ago, I read the author's Twilight website, and it contains information on all of the books, as well as reader's opinions. When she wrote her blog about Twilight, she shared how she came up with the idea in the first place. Stephanie Meyer, the author, tried writing a couple of books, but once she wrote a couple of pages, she never finished the story. One night she had a dream about a vampire and a girl and the love they shared. She decided that despite her busy schedule and duties as a mom, she would write her ideas on paper before she forgot them and elaborate on her ideas for fun. Once she started writing, fresh ideas naturally started coming to her. After she had most of it written, one of her friends told her to publish it, but she thought her friend was crazy. She hadn't had anything published before, but decided to take a leap of faith. Who'd known a dream would make her tons of money?

This ties into what we have been learning about in class. If you have an idea, even if it comes to you in a dream, and you think it is worth elaborating on....DO IT! Brilliant creativity comes when you least expect it, so take advantage of the ideas that come to you randomly. You never know what you can come up with and what kind of job it could provide for you!
