Ok I’m not going to lie… this blog is going to be one of those terrible I’m only blogging for credit blogs (I know I hate those) but I’m I have so much to do, I don’t have time to be creative right now!!!
The trip to
One thing I love about advertising is how compartmentalized it is. There’s somebody that can be completely different then you… grown up in a different part of the country, different morals, interests, strengths and weakness yet could still be great at the same job! When we were at all the different agencies I think one of the hardest things was relating to all the different interests of the group. I’m really into account planning, so I was really wanted to hear about that, while other people were totally into creative and the research side (ok well nobody really seemed to want the research side, thanks Sapolski! But I’m sure there's somebody out there!) Before I could never see why anybody would EVER want to be a media buyer, but when I met people on the trip, I literally would think “wow they’d be really good at that,” and I think it really made me appreciate them, and advertising as a whole!
Ok so now that I have my blogging credit for the week… I promise I will blog Tuesday with some good stuff (I actually have a lot I want to blog about) and as soon as this HORRIBLE media test is over… it’s go time!
PS: I just want to say for the record the media buying book is the WORST book I have ever been forced to purchase. It doesn’t have a single picture (I’m not exaggerating), it’s hard to read, jumps around and is over all BLAND. It’s books like this that give media buying a bad name, but at least after Atlanta I know that it’s not really THAT BAD.
