As I'm sure all of you country music fans know, Keith Urban and Carrie Underwood came to town this past friday. I went with a few of my friends. Back on the first day the tickets began selling, one of my friends sat in front of her computer and waited until the 10am kickoff time, and just bought enough for all of us. My point for saying that, is that I really did not know where our tickets were located (in relation to the stage) until I reached the very top of the civic center. Okay, I'm exaggerating. We were ONE row away from the VERY top of the civic center. It was very steep and directly on to the right of the stage, meaning I could not even see the big jumbo screens. I was definitely disappointed, since I really could not see at all, but I made the best of it.
At about the time Carrie Underwood was wrapping up her performance, my friend, Amber, accidently dropped her drink on the girl in sitting in front of her. They were both a little intoxicated and tried the girl tried to fight Amber, even after she said she was sorry. I tried to calm the girl in front of us down, explaining how it was an accident. It only helped a little. Amber left and came back with the usher. I have no idea how or why, but we were escorted downstairs and told we could go sit down in the empty seats below. They ended up being FRONT ROW, right on the right side of the stage. I was so excited!! We stayed there for all of Keith's performance, with an amazing view! I find it funny when people ask why we were the ones who got to go down to the front row, when Amber was the one who spilt the beer...because I really have no idea. I tried not to ask questions. I guess the bottom line would be, always be nice to the ushers?? Who knows. :) I'm definitely not complaining.
