As I sit here and reflect on my week trying to find something relatively creative to post about, my Wednesday night seems to stick out in my mind the most. You see, Wednesday was my sorority's first social of the semester. For those of you who are familiar with Greek Life, almost every Wednesday you will find sororities and fraternities paired off at a bar or club "socializing" together in theme. As a member of the Executive Council it was my job to stand at the back door of Ken's and sign girls in for the first hour and a half. The back door of Ken's is elevated compared to other such as Lower Lounge and The Pub, so I had what you could call a bird's eye view of the back of the strip. So, for an hour and a half I was able to look down at the rest of the themed socials and admire these crazy, creative outfits that people put together. One theme that I was later told of was "Goodwill Hunting". The idea was to go to Goodwill and find anything to wear. Not knowing of that theme, I contemplated for quite some time as to what their theme could possibly be. No one that I saw even relatively matched each other, but they all had crazy creative outfits.
Now that I think about it, watching people come and go from that social, not knowing the theme, makes me think of our class and the crazy things that innocent bystanders probably think about us. One day we are all blind folded sitting on the ground putting pieces of felt together, the next we are playing with a potbelly pig, and the next we burst out into a random round of applause shortly followed by a girl breaking out into song...
Anyway, although my social's theme was a boring "pajama party" I really enjoyed looking at other's outfits. It's amazing how many really creative people there are out there. The sad thing is, a lot of them probably don't even realize it.

So I'm probably one of the only students in our class crazy enough to be reading other posts at 3:51 am, but just to let know Erin, my sorority did the Goodwill Hunting theme last semester so I guess we're the ones with the original creatives ;0)
P.S. PJ parties may not be original but they're cute! (and its the most comfortable attire)
