My Dream Home

Three years ago I fell in love with a house. During my art history class I fell in love with Thomas Jefferson home Monticello. I realize I love neoclassical homes. I need and love the red bricks and white trimming. [One of the reason I love FSU. Love the red bricks.] The only thing is I don't like big houses. The movie scream ruined it for me. The concept of a huge house for myself is scary. I feel you should only have a big house if you have a large family.

The reason I love the neoclassical style architecture is because it incorporates greek architectural elements in a more modern twist. I love the columns and faux columns. They are very regal. Furthermore, it is a very mature look.

I apparantely spent the last hour looking for my dream neoclassical home. I want to build a custom home or find one similar to these:

I Love this central porch.

This has a central porch and a small size.
Two story column!!!

I personally do not like large houses. 3,000 feet is way to big. However, I discovered this house that is to die for.

Check out the floorplan. I always wanted a library. The master is a suite.

The staircase [mouth watering]

Yeah, when I make it (hopefully one day) I am going to houses crazy! There are so many neat things that you can artistically do with houses that no-one may ever notice, but if you design it correctly they will utilize the design. Houses are amazing...as well as quite expensive.
