Getting hit in the face by a siegel while trying to reenact your favorite scene from Titanic or maybe you would rather be swallowed alive by Free Willy... OUCH! Utopia Group SA is a Luexembourgian cinema chain that owns and operates cinemas located in Belgium, Luxemberg, and the Netherlands. The company operates most of its cinemas under the brand name Utopolis and we see this in each ad. As of 2006, in addition to the fifteen cinemas located in the Low Countries, there is a Utopia cinema in Longwy, on the French side of the Franco-Luxembourgian border. The company was formed on September 6, 2002 and I would say is doing really well considering their expansion and of course the use of humor in their ads. When viewing their website, it seemed really informative and pretty similiar to your muvico.com or fandango.com. Tickets can be purchased online and you are provided with movie times and locations.
These 2 print ads were done by an advertising agency called Duval Guillaume in Antwerp, Belgium. As you can see they also incorporate existing movies into their ads to give you a little insight into what the company is about. But, the best part of all, they made me laugh! The most memorable ads for me are the ones that can make me laugh which are likely the most clever ads too. Props to them for making the silly Americans laugh. Goooooooooooooo Europe!
