Living Green

My roommates and I have been recycling. We collect aluminum, glass and plastic in one bin and paper and cardboard in the other. It’s nearly effortless and then after the bins get to the point of spilling over we take the bins out to the recycling container behind our apartment complex.

Today I came home from my classes and emptied the bins which have been overflowing for the past few days. As I loaded them into the shopping cart we use to transport them down to the dumpster it occurred to me how this simple and effortless task has a long reaching impact on our environment and our future. Now if only I can convince other people to try recycling too!

On a side note no I did not steal a shopping cart it just keeps showing up near my door, I live near Publix and they always seem to migrate over to my complex.

Random fact about stolen shopping carts apparently the most common use for a stolen cart is as a barbeque grill. I learned that in my business law class…don’t ask.
