So I was planning on blogging about Twitter since I made my account last week, but Jenna beat me to it! Oh well, I'm afraid you'll have to hear more about it.

In my Intro to PR class a couple weeks ago, we had a guest speaker (Nate Long from Visit Florida) talk about the 3 tools someone going into the Communications field absolutely has to take advantage of: Twitter, RSS feeds, and Linked In. After hearing so much about Twitter (he spent about 1/2 an hour on Twitter alone) I finally gave in and made myself a profile. The idea of "following" people and being "followed" by a bunch of people I don't know was a bit strange at first, but it's actually really cool! You can seriously keep up with anyone from Shaq to the staff of BBDO to Ashton Kutcher, or even Ad Club Pres. Michela :) Top people in ad agencies all over the world have accounts, so it's an excellent way to network a little bit at a time.
