What is it about Tallahassee cops? Did you know we have one of the most corrupt police departments IN THE NATION? At least that is what the Pensacola News Journal said. I've had multiple friends who have awful stories involving them. Tonight was no big deal, but I had a friend who tried to move another friend's car because his friend couldn't drive because he had been drinking. The friend who hadn't had a sip of alcohol all night was hand-cuffed because the cops said "they were detaining him because the keys were evidence." Does this even make sense? The intoxicated student hadn't driven in at least three hours since he arrived at the bar. He had NOT driven drunk. The cops wouldn't specify what the keys were "evidence" for, and they wouldn't explain why they were detaining the sober, responsible student. They simply wanted to arrest someone for a DUI. I think driving drunk is disgusting and I'm all for ending it. However, Tallahassee cops are going too far. They were trying to get someone who was being responsible and NOT driving in trouble. Honestly, that's disgusting too.
