Some of you may be interested in this website and some may not. Couchsurfing.com is a networking that offers a place to stay for travelers all across the world. Basically you sign up and verify your address then your couch goes up as available for someone to stay on whether they are traveling the state/country/world. You can deny any traveler of course the opportunity to stay on your couch but the whole website works off the buddy system. You cannot sign up to be a host unless you are vouched for by another member. There's a few rules and regulations which keep things safe and reliable but all in all, if you need a place to stay whether it be in Atlanta or Amsterdam, couchsurfing.com is a place to check out for sure!
