Fun Facts

Since I don't really know what to blog about here are some fun facts!

  • 90% of New York City cab drivers are recently arrived immigrants.
  • Flea's can jump 130 times higher than their own height. In human terms this is equal to a 6ft. person jumping 780 ft. into the air.
  • Our eyes are always the same size from birth, but our nose and ears never stop growing.
  • Studies show that if a cat falls off the seventh floor of a building it has about thirty percent less chance of surviving than a cat that falls off the twentieth floor. It supposedly takes about eight floors for the cat to realize what is occurring, relax and correct itself.
  • It is possible to lead a cow upstairs...but not downstairs.
  • The first product to have a bar code was Wrigley's gum.
  • Hummingbirds can't walk.
  • In every episode of Seinfeld there is a Superman somewhere.
  • The US has about 9 billion chickens. China has more than 13 billion

I found these facts very interesting. I have never heard most of these facts before, however I have heard of the cow one. As a senior class prank, we wanted to put a cow in the fine arts building, which obviously has stairs. We were too chicken to do it, but I think it would be really funny.
