Quick Note: Gemini

I'm sure you all saw Jeff's blog about that Beckham lady's ad with her legs sticking out of the bag. It made me think of all the randomness in the world and how it seems to come out when people try to be "edgy." There is a difference between new and inventive and just...well...random. Occasionally random can take away from a solid idea.

Case in point: Gemini

Gemini is a movie about twin brothers who have never met. They were separated at birth because one of the babies had a strange birth mark on his leg that looked like a snake. The marked baby was considered a bad omen and dangerous to the prosperity of the house so they threw him in the river. Luckily he was found by circus folk who raised him. Eventually he finds a girl, falls in love and tries to live happily ever after. Until the troupe is broken up and he and his love are separated. The girl believing her lover is dead is shocked to find his twin brother. So they shack up. Of course the marked brother re-enters the picture, throws his sibling down a well and tries to take over his life.

Normal drama right? NO WAY

Visual cues throughout this thing are on steroids. The family is always in white. The circus/slum people are in what looks like the crazy bohemian punk fashions that come down the runway every spring. And the killer is the INTERPRETIVE DANCE SEX. Yes...yes..I'm serious. I'll get the trailer for the movie and post it. It is a real head trip...an example of BAD random.
