Extreme Makeover Home Edition

I had the amazing opportunity to work on the Kadzis Family's house for Extreme Makeover Home Edition on the last day of work and the "Move That Bus" filming. It was absolutely AMAZING to see just how much heart and soul was poured into this project from beginning to end. I had gone to the site to watch the progress throughout the week, but the opportunity to work as a volunteer was truly an unforgettable experience. I was inside the house up until about a half hour before the family came home, and to see all of the various interior projects coming together in the last few moments under the supervision of the Design Team, not to mention the consturuction of an entire house in 5 DAYS, was just PHENOMENAL!!! The house was built rather modestly for 6 children, which was a pleasant thing to see for a TV production given the economy. Nonetheless, the Desgin Team did not skimp on creative interior designs. The living room was my favorite, decorated in a nautical theme with navy, white, and coral as the primary color scheme. One of the kids bedrooms even housed a bed built as a train car with a full set of tracks. It is truly amazing what was able to be done for one family in the span of a week.
