Social Media--it will make or break you in Advertising

So I've met a couple people on Twitter who consider themselves "social media evangelists," and I've realized I'm starting to become one of them.

You guys HAVE to keep up with social media! More and more company CEOs are turning to Twitter, blogging, Facebook, etc. to keep in touch with their customers, and if your agency isn't in touch with the public on a real level there won't be much motivation for companies to hire you.

Those companies who haven't jumped on the social media train soon will--many marketers out there are going from company to company preaching about how important social media is for reaching customers. And when I read tweets from those marketers about the outcome of those meetings, client reactions are ALWAYS positive when it comes to investing in social media.

Think about it: If President Obama and old man McCain can keep up with a Twitter account, you can, too!
