Dr. Seuss (1904-1901) was the epitome of creative. With his birthday just passing yesterday, I thought there would be nothing better to blog about than him.
As we all know, Dr. Seuss was an author and cartoonist, most widely known for his children's books. Dr. Seuss published over 60 children's books and is most famous for his rhyme, imaginative characters, and what is called "trisyllabic meter." His most notable books were Green Eggs and Ham, The Cat in the Hat, and One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish. His work has been used to create 3 feature films, 11 television specials and a Broadway musical.
We all know that about Dr. Seuss, but did you know this?...
Dr. Seuss also worked as an illustrator for advertising campaigns?? His most recogized illustrations was for the Standard Oil Company.
His books were written for children, but he was a very political man, and he always incorporated his views into his writing; the most famous one being Horton Hears a Who writing his dissatisfaction with WWII.
