The Bachelor ...is lame

Last night I finally watched The Bachelor for the first time since the first season which seems like 10 years ago. I hear people talking about it all the time so I figured I would watch the finale. Jason seemed to me like a really nice, genuine guy, probably because he has a little boy, Ty who he is always with. And both girls, Molly and Melissa seemed really great and he seemed to have such great chemistry with both. Obviously something was wrong though when HE started bawling after he let Molly go - why didn't he chase after her? Did he just choose Melissa because she seemed like the safe choice? Once the show ended an after-show came on which showed Jason, Melissa, and Molly six weeks after the show ended. According to Jason he claims he is so unhappy and made the wrong choice and proceeds to dump Melissa on the show. It all seemed like a big publicity stunt, how could something go so wrong in six weeks when both Jason and Melissa seemed so real and to genuinely care for each other? Does he just want more publicity and money? and was Melissa really in on the plan too? It was really disappointing to see such a nice guy turn out to be a jerk. If I were Molly I don't know if I would take him back, he thinks he can have whatever he wants whenever.
