Scifi: 1 KFC: 0

Now let me be honest, I don’t know anything about science fiction anything, but then again I’m not making an ad about it. KFC kicked off its Battlestar Galactica Frak Pak sweepstakes, in which you could enter to win the equivalent of a SciFi gift basket. DVDs, photos, autographed script, all from beets! Bears! Battlestar Galactica! And a year’s worth of free KFC, as if the BSG DVDs weren’t enough.
Fortunately for some chickens, it seems KFC failed to realize that “Frak” is a substitute for another fun word as they shamelessly pandered to the coveted SciFi chicken-lover demographic. The pandering got so out of hand they began to advertise using a topless robot.
Just kidding. Bouncing back from the embarassment with all the finesse of fast food chicken, KFC subtly changed the title to “Can’t-Say-That-Word-On-Television Sweepstakes”. Just another reminder to know your audience, and especially know when they're screwing with you.
