This weekend I was fortunate enough to have three of my good friends stay at my apartment for the game. For some reason I have always had older friends so all three of this fine gals have "real life" jobs. Since I am extremely interested in the entry-level job process, I asked my friend Meghan to tell me what she does on a day-to-day basis. Well, once she explained her job she told me about this amazing story that made her embarrassed for quite a long time.
She was at work and I suppose decided to take a little break. Well, she has a Livejournal account and was posting a blog on that. Apparently her company has some sort of system on their computers where whenever the company name is typed, the company has track of it. Unfortunately for Meghan, her post was all about how she was having issues with her boyfriend, about how sometimes her job drives her nuts because it is so boring, etc. etc. The icing on the cake is that at the very end of her post, she decided to mention how she wasted an entire hour typing the blog and how she was still getting paid for it since she did it at work! Ha, bad move.
Word about the infamous blog traveled quickly among her co-workers and next thing she knows, all of them are talking about how young puppy love is so un-complicated and how it was ridiculous that she was typing her post at work. Needless to say, she still feels extremely awkward at work.
Moral of the story, if you are going to waste time at work, make sure there is NO way of them finding out about it! Haha. Poor, poor Meghan.
