Welcome to Dorm Life

Freshmen year is a new and exciting experience. You have so much more independence, and you meet so many interesting and diverse people. Adding to this sudden over abundance of freedom and opportunity is the experience of living in a dorm. You are living in a building with hundreds of potential friends and the campus becomes your play ground!

Last year I lived on the fith floor of Wildwood so many ridiculous and downright bizarre things happened on that hallway. There was the time that the guy down the hall passed out naked in front of his room or the guy who wore a black leather trench coat so often that I dubbed him Neo. We made countless boxes of Scooby shaped mac and cheese in the kitchen and stayed up way too late every night just cause we could. The dorm lifestyle always struck me a wonderfully unique environment where life is fast paced and drama flourishes.

I always thought that an inside look at the dorm lifestyle would be a great idea for a documentary. So I perhaps a little too excited when I discovered the pseudo documentary series Dorm Life. Its a comedic mini series that chronicles the wild and crazy adventure that is dorm life. This show is hysterical and the best part is the characters really do seem like they could have been the guys that lived down the hall. Anyway here's a link to the pilot episode enjoy.
