Shaq, The Diesel, Shaq Fu, The Big Aristotle, The Big Daddy, Superman, The Man of Steel, The Big Agave, The Big Cactus, The Big Shaqtus, The Big Galactus, Wilt Chamberneezy, The Big Baryshnikov, The Real Deal, Dr. Shaq (after receiving his MBA) and last but not least to be created, Shaqovich. Shaquille O'Neal goes by several nicknames as you can see. This man even has a defensive strategy named after him, the Hack-a-Shaq. Derived from the idea to commit a foul against him so he can take free throws (which is one of his weaknesses, the other being kryptonite of course). In addition, he's traveled in between a few teams, compelling each one to rather win a championship or get very close to accepting the honor. Beginning with the Orlando Magic, Michael Jordan might've had something to do with the prevention of a ring. Then comes the Los Angeles Lakers and the Miami Heat where he's won a combined four rings. And finally the Phoenix Suns, where he's had the most name changes. All in all, Shaq seems to be leaving an impression not only to the association and its viewers but also a young man named Dwight Howard.
The "Other Superman" got his name from the Slam Dunk contest last year as he whipped out a cape to perform his dunk, which was more like a throw as he never actually made contact with the rim with his hand at all. Regardless he brought personality back to the All-Star weekend, inspiring Nate Robinson this year to wear a kryptonite alternatively colored jersey and maybe be more creative to which broke Howard obtaining back to back victories. Howard is setting records as did Shaq in his hay day. But you begin to wonder, is he going to follow in similar footsteps? I mean Howard is in the Orlando Magic! Only time and trades will tell.
