When was the last time you splurged to make yourself feel better about something? Many women are guilty of it. That dress to make up for the bad test grade. That handbag to make you feel better about the fight with your boyfriend. Maybe that bracelet because you woke up late which of course qualifies as a bad day, causing you to need it. A perfect portrayal of a woman's need to shop for happiness and express herself in style is Confessions of a Shopaholic, a film based on the national bestseller book. The leading character, Rebecca Bloomwood, did a fantastic job of portraying a fashionista with her own flare of comedy and creativity. What I loved most about the film was that creativity was expressed indirectly through her character having her own spunk and flare of fashion. Creativity is writing for an economic magazine and writing about the deception of stores and real cashmere. It is putting your own edge on something you aren't particularly interested in doing. The recently debuted chick flick had the entire theater laughing, even the boyfriends of the bunch. It was impressively directed and dealt with hilarious issues any woman can relate to, from splitting purchases on multiple credit cards to declaring creepy stalkers. Above all, it expressed the importance of success and being yourself.

I Brake for Manolos
Creativity is like a shoe. There are different designers, different colors and shapes, and most importantly, they are best to not be borrowed.
