Early this semester I attended the William Ayers speech and discovered a neat organization, CPE, who were tabling at the event. CPE stands for the Center for Participant Education. After asking what their organization does, the girl working the table explained the organization to me as, "everybody has something they can teach someone." What they do is host classes where normal everyday people teach other people different (kind of quirky, not mainstream) things. I looked on the calendar and some of the events include: belly dancing classes, hatha yoga, student farmworker alliance meetings, women's hula & latin dancing, food not bombs, and more. If you have something that you feel like you can teach other people, you can even sign up to teach a class yourself. I really like their idea that everybody has something to teach that people want to learn about.
