Puppy Bowl

This past weekend was the super-bowl and so many people too occupied watching sports networks miss the most entertaining thing on television that day. Before the super-bowl starts Animal Planet hosts something called the puppy-bowl. It is exactly what you think it is.....they put a bunch of puppies into a little arena with a bunch of toys and they play. When the puppies fight over toys, the puppy to grab the toy away and run with it to the other side of the arena scores a touch down. It is so cute and one of the puppies this year (my favorite) laid down and passed out for the whole game in the middle of the field. The host of the show introduces all of the puppies like they are actual football players and high light their strengths, for instance the little Min Pin was a "lady killer." For all you cat lovers, this show even has a kitty half time show and a bunch of kittens play with these robotic toys that dangle yarn around for them to play with. Words can't describe how entertaining and adorable this puppy-bowl is so if you want the full effect you gotta try to catch it on Animal Planet. 

Aside from the entertainment of this show, it serves a great cause. All of the puppies and kittens in the show are sheltered dogs and available for adoption. Also, companies such as Pedigree, Bissell and many other pet brands use the show as an opportunity to advertise. The Pedigree Adoption Fund raises a lot of money from this event and it is a very creative way to raise money for a great cause.
