" A double macchiato with a side of debate"

So here's an interesting fact for all you Starbucks and/or politics lovers. Starting on Thursday, Starbucks will be offering a free weekly paper called the Good Sheet. Each week will focus on a different political topic surrounding the upcoming election. The good thing is (no pun intended) that it is a nonpartisan paper...just simply stating the facts-statistics, graphics and McCain and Obama views. It's perfect for us busy students who don't have much time to be reading 6 page long articles about the issues and are bombarded by the very biased media. With school, work, and studying for the GRE, I know it has been really hard to keep up daily with what is going on. Although I am guilty of not being up do date with my politics, I have actually heard people base their decisions on ridiculous claims such as"Obama sounding too much like Osama" or "McCain is too old", which freaks me out a bit that they are contributing to the decision of our future! Oh the ignorance!

For many of us, this is the first time we are voting in the election so it is important to make an educated decision. So next week when the semester load starts piling up and you head for a nice grande or venti cup of coffee, stop in and pick up The Good Sheet to stay informed!

Here is the article if you want to know more about it: http://www.nytimes.com/2008/09/08/business/media/08good.html?partner=rssnyt&emc=rss

p.s. I love that we can post pictures!
