Hungry? There's toothpaste for dinner.

As a college student who no longer has the convenience of a meal plan, there have been times when I have been forced to concoct some seriously creative "meals" out of the remnants in the fridge and pantry. That's not to say they weren't delicious. Every once in a while it's nice to make a peanut butter and marshmallow fluff "sandwich" between crackers you've had since you moved in. And my roommate has come up with an incredible upgrade to the Ramen noodles cliche (read: soft boil an egg while the noodles are cooking, add sliced mushrooms, chives, and sprinkle with shredded cheddar cheese). I'm also a firm believer that popcorn popped over the stove should be tacked onto the side of the Food Pyramid as one of our most important food groups.

At any rate, I was looking through Toothpaste for Dinner and saw this little cartoon. I got a laugh out of it because I think the desperate search for a cheap meal, combined with poor culinary skills, is something that we can all relate to as college students.

This site was created by a goofy man from Ohio named Drew. Every day, Drew posts a new crudely drawn comic that may or may not be relevant to anything at all. But more often than not, his stuff is funny. His wife is also a cartoonist with her own comic site, Natalie Dee. Together, the pair creates a third daily comic called Married to the Sea. Each cartoon is different and politically incorrect in its own special way, and they often poke fun at the daily happenings of their own simple lives with their new born baby daughter Nora, and two overweight pugs, Chester and Charles.

This may not be the most valuable use of anyone's time, but I think it's at least pretty funny.
