Yo ho ho ho, the Facebook Pirate Life for Me!

Alright this post was actually inspired by the post about the pirate rappers. Last semester, Facebook came out with their latest language option for the social networking site - English (Pirate). The language option was a huge success. The creative genius behind it all was simply AMAZING, in my opinion. "Friend requests" turned into "sorry louts that think they yer mates", "friends" turned into "me hearties", "status updates" turned into "recent tales", and the Facebook status would always ask "what arrrr ye doin' right now". Sadly, as you may have noticed, the English (Pirate) language option has been removed from the standard Facebook template. Apparently the language was released to pay homage to National Speak Like A Pirate Day, but was soon sent back into testing and redesign because it was not 100% correct yet. I say BRING BACK ME PIRATE TALK !!!

For the time being, you can add an application to your facebook that has a pirate language option. The link is http://www.new.facebook.com/translations/

My highschool statistics teacher took speak like a pirate day really seriously and taught the whole class that day like a pirate! This application sounds really funny.
